The objective is to make traveling as smooth as silk.
Dubai-based Silkhaus is taking the challenge of the long-stay travel experience head-on. Founder and CEO, Aahan Bhojani, recognized the need for a more seamless travel experience while working as a strategy consultant and travelling for work. His search for suitable long-term accommodation options on online travel sites proved tedious, leading him to establish Silkhaus. Together with COO Ashmin Varma, they set out to make every travel experience “smooth as silk”.
As a “technology-first hospitality brand”, Silkhaus aims to provide business and leisure travellers with a home away from home. The company is also addressing the growing need for short-term rentals, which is becoming an asset class for property investors globally and a preferred experience for diverse groups of travellers. While the global PropTech market is projected to grow at a compound annual rate of about 17%, venture capital investments in PropTech companies have declined by 38% to $19.8 billion this year. Nevertheless, Mr Bhojani sees this market as an opportunity.
The name Silkhaus signifies the company’s effort to bring global standards to the property management space while incorporating unique local contexts in each location. With the travel experience in mind, Silkhaus aims to empower immersive nomadic experiences. For property investors, the need for a “landing pad” to accommodate incoming audiences has never been stronger. As such, Silkhaus aims to make the travel experience as smooth as silk.
